Beautiful sunrise over Venango Valley on March 20, 2019
Spring is in the air and Maple Syrup is the sweet taste of spring. We took the kids to a few Sugar Shacks this past weekend in northwest, Pennsylvania, and had to detox from all the sugar! Maple cotton candy was our favorite by far. These images are from “How Sweet It Is” in Saegertown and Boylan Farms near Mosiertown. We passed by The Mossy Barn, and I made Dave turn the van around so I could get a photo of it. It spoke to me somehow. I hope you enjoy it!
The clouds were rolling in and I could tell it was going to be a good sunrise. I love waking up before Dave and the kids - grinding some coffee beans and enjoying quiet sips of caffeine while reading morning devotions. It sets the tone for the day.
For an hour this morning, the light changed and moved… My five year old son Truett wanted to capture a few photos as well; he looked outside and said, “Mom! Get a picture of that!” And I told him to capture it himself (ha - parenting at it’s best!).

Wednesday October 17, 2018 - YES - these photos were taken on the same day! Beautiful sunrise photos, and then the skies turned cloudy and it rained most of the morning. By mid-afternoon, these beautiful rainbows swept across the Venango Valley! I was actually annoyed that my husband Dave knocked on my studio door and interrupted me from doing voice overs… but once I saw how huge and amazing the rainbows were, I quickly ran and grabbed my camera to capture it’s beauty. Enjoy!

A beautiful warm October morning in Venango and Saegertown, Pennsylvania. The weather is changing over the next few days; it will be interesting to see how the clouds change during the transition into cooler weather!
